Rent the ground floor of the East Wing in a very special Grade II listed, self catering holiday let in the beautiful Cotswold village of Chalford, between Stroud and Cirencester. The Cottage is full of charm retaining many of its original features; stone walls, beamed ceilings and a woodburner.
The updated accommodation comprises a small porch, leading into an open plan kitchen/living area complete with wood burner. There are 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom; sleeping 4 comfortably in 1 double and 1 twin (which can be converted into a double if necessary with its “zip and link” bed). There is also a double sofa bed in the living room to accommodate 6 if necessary.
The cottage also benefits from its own small private terrace and garden with wonderful views across the valley.
The cottage annex forms part of a large listed property, once occupied by the owner of one of the local mills. The cottage part of the house is believed to be about 400 years old in contrast to the more ‘modern’ Georgian West Wing of the house added around 1820 by the mill owner.
