Green Court is a beautiful Grade II Listed house in Chalford, Gloucestershire.
The house is nestled in the beautiful village of Chalford, between Stroud and Cirencester in the Cotswolds. It is comprised of two main parts. The front West Wing, dating from the beginning of the 19th Century and the East Wing which shows internal evidence of an earlier house (or perhaps 2 cottages) dating from the 16th Century.
The house has been the home to many clothiers and was extended around 1820 to include the more “modern” Georgian West facing frontage (shown above).
Green Court is in a great location with easy access from across the country. London is only 2 hours drive, Birmingham 1 hour, Bristol 1 hour and Heathrow 1.5 hours. Green Court is also well served with trains to London, Bristol, Cheltenham, Oxford and Birmingham all of which are under 90 minutes journey time.
Chris and Anna, the current owners, bought the house in 2006. They have lovingly updated it and are offering both the Cottage and the Weavers’ Loft for self-catering holiday-makers. Both properties sleep 4 comfortably but they each have a double sofa-bed to accommodate up to 6.
